The Shadow - Cover

The Shadow is one of my all-time favorite characters, from his pulp-origins to his later revised mystic/super-hero phase. Yes, I even love the Alec Baldwin movie.

This particular fan-comic was made because at the time I was developing an idea to try to pitch to DC that would bring the character back into their playground, albeit in the ‘mainstream’ universe. When I realized the chances for that were slim, I had too much Shadow on the brain and wrote this little four page comic to relieve it. Looking back on it, I absolutely hate the dialogue but I have nothing but PURE LOVE for Cristian Aluas' art on it.

It's one of the best depictions of the Shadow I’ve seen and I know Cristian had a blast on it because he too is a Shadow nut.

What you're seeing here is an original cover that Cristian made because he wanted to do it and like everything else he did, it's just freakin' awesome. In my honest opinion, of course
